From Rising Force to Political Setback: The Fall of Yakubu Murtala Ajaka

By Akowe ThankGod Joseph ojonateko TG

The quest for power and greed has cost Muri Ajaka, the former National Deputy Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dearly.
He was desperate and eager to succeed Bello, driven by the crowd and the empty noise around him. He believed that being an Igala man—coming from the majority—was a winning advantage. However, he failed to realize that he was exposing himself to disgrace and humiliation.

The Igala agenda movement was formed, and lives were lost in the process, all in a bid to see him occupy the Lugard House in Lokoja. While some advised him to step aside, others pushed him forward.

In early 2022, he served as the National Deputy Publicity Secretary of the APC and was a member of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Today, however, he is seen apologizing to his political oppression Alhaji Yahaya Bello , those he claims they took his mandate and handed it to another.

His quest for power, hunger to rule, and desperation to lead have now diminished and destabilized his political movement. He is reportedly seeking a senatorial position, possibly to recover some of the resources spent during the 2023 governorship campaign. It is a situation where he may even have to humble himself before former rivals.

Baba, do everything humanly possible within your capacity to secure the endorsement you seek. But if you are turned down again, be prepared to withstand the weight of criticism from Kogites, especially those from Kogi East.

If You Cannot Withstand Criticism, Stay Away from the Public Office in 2027

It is very clear that we need to support and advance our people, especially those willing to come out and contest for different positions in public office in 2027.

A public office is not a place to go and simply enjoy; it is a place of service. Even if you perform well, critics and opponents will still challenge you and call you names. In my humble submission, you know yourself better than anyone else.

If you cannot condone criticism or withstand critics, it is better to stay away from public office. When the time comes, do not complain that people are insulting you, pulling you down, or dragging you unnecessarily. No matter what you do, people will always talk.

Do not send thugs against anyone. As a public office holder, you are meant to lead, instruct, and serve your people so their needs are met. Critics are there to open your eyes to things you may not see and areas you may not cover. As you prepare to assume the office in 2027, do not attack them.

Just as you are doing your job, they are also doing theirs. Critics are part of governance, just as the government is accountable to critics—both serve important roles.

Once again, if you cannot entertain criticism, do not come out in 2027.

Bad leaders and corruption

Corruption has been a major problem that has eaten very deep into the fabric of the national lives of virtually all developed world nations .

Many of our leaders who occupying a privilege position means granting one the license to steal with impunity, to loot shamelessly to ensure that the treasury is empty before being forced out of the office.
This lead to political instability, as we now express high rate of injustice, nepotism, greed and avarice in the political system in Nigeria.

The suffering, the hardship, the cost of living, the high increment price of food include items,  dollar and fuel can never be  overemphasized

I stand on my point and also wishes to tell them to restore peace to the land. You are there to governing the people not to Petition them and embezzled their fund.

If truly you love those who are your subjects, demonstrate it now and end the system of assassination, threat to life and insecurity.

There is no gain in violence.
Don't ruin your family name and bring curse  upon your people and remember what millions of Nigerians, are going through and before you dance to their tunes, remember the thousands of innocent Nigerian, that died in this regime and millions that are in refugee camps.

Don't let anyone use you and dump you as the race begin again

Please my fellow country men, don't allow this people to deceive us again, get ur PVC ready, it's time to teach them a lesson.

Vote wisely for betterment of this country.

Opinion: The Cost of Political Greed in Kogi East

Politics in Kogi East has increasingly become less about service and more about personal gain. Most prominent politicians in the zone appear more interested in protecting their bank accounts than defending the interests of the people they claim to represent. Greed, not governance, has taken centre stage.
This reality explains why many people from Kogi East openly declared support for Ododo, even at a time when his political future toward 2027 remained uncertain. When leadership fails to inspire trust, loyalty naturally shifts elsewhere.

The so-called dominant politicians often claim they are carrying everyone along. But the critical question remains unanswered:
how many people has your political principal helped to secure government employment?
How many have received genuine financial or economic support?
Political loyalty cannot survive on slogans alone.

It is therefore unfair to blame those who chose to support Kogi Central rather than their own. When leaders abandon their people, the people will seek alternatives.
History has a way of repeating itself.

Those dismissed yesterday as irrelevant or “not good enough” are today the same individuals standing as obstacles to political ambition. Neglect breeds resistance.

The lesson is clear: invest deliberately in the leaders of tomorrow. The youth are no longer passive observers. They keep records, they remember sacrifices, and they stand firmly with those who once stood by them.

Olamaboro Citizens Called to Promote Peace and Shun False Accusations.

I wish to advise members of the public, especially the people of Olamaboro Local Government, to set aside the indication that the incumbent chairman is a gun shooter.

It is an allegation which has no evidence. Maybe you don't like him, but do not say what you don't know about him.

Many people are saying he was asked to leave because he was seen publicly shooting a gun. There is more to it, and I call on the sons and daughters of Olamaboro to be carriers of good messages and to promulgate it for the sake of peace.

Although Imane Ward 2, especially Agaliga Efabo, benefited nothing from the previous administration and also from the current administration, Adejoh Pexy did not remember Agaliga Efabo, likewise Honourable  Comr Ameh Williams But we still remain good and faithful, supporting them to achieve their goals despite omitting us from their projects.

Today, I pray that God Almighty bathes the incumbent chairman of Olamaboro and washes him clean.
Wishing you the best of luck in your political race line.

The gap between us is very wide.

They have security and judiciary oppressing the less privileged who demand their fundamental human rights.

But today, I decree that our God will oppress the rich who take advantage of us and oppress us.

May God disgrace anyone who takes from us without our knowledge.

May they suffer the prey of insurgency, banditry and other horrible pains that ordinary Nigerians are facing today.

I was scared and sad when I watched a video where Boko Haram were killing human beings with heavy iron.

May God intercede on our behalf and save us from being victims of banditry, Boko Haram and kidnapping.
